    How to use this tool

    1. Click Choose PDF files or drag your PDFs onto the box. You can add more files at any time.
    2. Arrange the order: drag a file up or down, or use the arrow buttons. The top file becomes the first pages of the result.
    3. Click Merge PDFs. Your browser builds the new file and downloads it as merged.pdf.

    What happens to your pages when you merge

    This tool copies the pages of each PDF into a new document, one file after the other. The pages are copied as they are, without being turned into images first. Text stays selectable and searchable, vector drawings stay sharp, and photos keep their original compression. In most cases the merged file is close to the combined size of the files you added.

    Because the pages are not re-rendered, the result also keeps each page's own size and orientation. If you merge an A4 report with a US Letter form, both page sizes will appear in the final document. That is normal and most PDF readers handle it without problems.

    Common uses

    People often merge PDFs to send one attachment instead of five, for example when an application asks for a single file that contains an ID copy, a CV and certificates. Other common cases are joining the chapters of a report, putting scanned receipts together for an expense claim, or combining a contract with its annexes.

    Password-protected files: encrypted PDFs cannot be merged until the password protection is removed in the program that created them.

    How many PDFs can I merge at once?

    There is no fixed limit. The practical limit is your device's memory. A normal laptop handles dozens of ordinary documents easily; very large scanned files may take longer.

    Is there a file size limit?

    There is no limit set by this site, because nothing is uploaded. Very large files (several hundred MB) may be slow on phones or older computers.

    Will merging reduce quality?

    No. Pages are copied without re-compression, so text, images and drawings look exactly as they did in the original files.

    Do bookmarks and links survive?

    Page content is kept. Links to websites usually keep working, but a document outline (bookmarks) and links that jump to other pages inside the original file are not carried over.

    Can I merge PDFs on my phone?

    Yes. The tool works in modern mobile browsers such as Chrome and Safari. Use the arrow buttons to reorder files, because drag and drop is harder on small touch screens.
