How to use this tool
- Choose the PDF you want to split. The tool shows how many pages it has.
- Pick a mode. Extract pages creates one new PDF from the pages you type. The other two modes create several PDFs, packed in a ZIP file.
- For extraction, type pages like
1-3, 5, 9-. A range without an end, such as9-, means "page 9 to the last page". - Click Split PDF to download the result.
Three ways to split

Removing pages from a PDF
There is no separate "delete pages" button because extraction does the same job. To delete page 4 from a 10-page file, extract 1-3, 5-10. The new PDF contains everything except page 4.
You can also reorder pages this way. Typing 3, 1, 2 creates a file where the third page comes first.
Does splitting change quality?
No. Pages are copied into the new files exactly as they are, so the text remains searchable and images are not re-compressed. Each part is usually smaller than the original, although fonts and images that are shared across pages may need to be stored in each part.
Frequently asked questions
How do I split a PDF into single pages?
Choose the mode "Every page as its own PDF" and click Split PDF. You will receive a ZIP file with one PDF per page, named with the page number.
Why do I get a ZIP file?
When a split produces more than one PDF, the files are packed into a single ZIP so your browser only has to download one file. Most systems open ZIP files with a double-click.
Can I extract pages in a different order?
Yes. In extract mode the pages are added in the order you type them, so "5, 1-4" moves page 5 to the front.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
Yes. Splitting works on any PDF page, whether it contains text or a scanned image.
