About PDFToolkit

Why We Built This

In 2024, I was working as a freelance designer and constantly needed to convert client PDFs to images for social media posts. Every online converter I tried required uploading sensitive client work to unknown servers. The privacy implications kept me up at night.

That's when I realized: modern browsers are powerful enough to handle PDF processing locally. No uploads needed. No privacy risks. Just pure client-side JavaScript doing the work.

PDFToolkit was born from that frustration. Today, it serves thousands of users who value their privacy as much as I do.

Our Privacy-First Philosophy

We believe your documents are your business—nobody else's. That's why every tool on PDFToolkit runs 100% in your browser. When you convert a PDF to JPG, merge documents, or extract text, the processing happens on YOUR computer, not our servers.

This architecture provides three critical benefits:

We use open-source libraries like PDF.js and pdf-lib, which are audited by thousands of developers worldwide. You can inspect our code right in your browser's developer tools—we have nothing to hide.

Who Uses PDFToolkit?

Our users include students extracting textbook diagrams, lawyers redacting sensitive contract clauses, marketers converting reports to social media graphics, and researchers processing academic papers. They all share one common need: fast, reliable PDF tools that respect their privacy.
