How to use this tool
- Choose a PDF file.
- Pick the image format and resolution. 150 DPI is a good default for screens and sharing.

Which format should you choose?

Choosing a resolution (DPI)
DPI controls how many pixels each page gets. A standard A4 page at 72 DPI is about 595 × 842 pixels, which is fine for a quick preview. At 150 DPI it is about 1240 × 1754 pixels, which is sharp on most screens and still reasonable in size. 300 DPI gives about 2480 × 3508 pixels and is the usual choice for printing.
Higher DPI means sharper images but much bigger files: doubling the DPI makes about four times as many pixels. If you only need the images for a message or a web page, 150 DPI is usually enough.

- Posting a page of a report or a flyer on social media, where PDFs are not accepted.
- Adding a page to a presentation or a document as a picture.
- Uploading a document to a form that only accepts JPG or PNG.
- Creating a preview thumbnail of the first page of a PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Can I convert just one page?
The tool converts every page, then lets you download each page separately by clicking its preview. Download only the page you need.
Why are my images large?
High resolution and PNG both increase file size. Try 150 DPI and JPG with medium quality for much smaller files.
Is the text in the images searchable?
No. An image is a picture of the page, so the text can no longer be selected or searched. Keep the original PDF if you need the text.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
PDFs that require a password to open cannot be converted. Remove the password first in the program that created the file.
