How to Turn Screenshots Into a PDF on Phone or Computer
Screenshots are the quickest way to capture a receipt, a conversation, an error message or a set of steps. But a dozen loose images are awkward to send. Putting them into one PDF makes them easy to share, print and archive.
Step by step
- Open Image to PDF on your phone or computer.
- Select your screenshots. On phones, the picker lets you choose from your photo gallery.
- Arrange them in order with the arrow buttons.
- Set the page size to Same as image so each screenshot fills its page.
- Click Create PDF.
Why "Same as image" is best for screenshots
Phone screenshots are tall and narrow; computer screenshots are wide. Neither matches an A4 page. With "Same as image", each page takes the exact shape of its screenshot, so there are no large white borders and the content is as large as possible when viewed. Choose A4 only if you plan to print.
Where to find screenshots
- iPhone: in the Photos app, in the "Screenshots" album.
- Android: usually in the Gallery or Photos app, in a "Screenshots" folder.
- Windows: Win+PrtScn saves to Pictures → Screenshots.
- Mac: Cmd+Shift+3 or 4 saves to the Desktop by default.
Practical uses
- Proof of payment: combine bank app screenshots into one document for a landlord or seller.
- Chat records: keep a conversation in order as a single file.
- Bug reports: show each step that leads to an error.
- Tutorials: create a simple step-by-step guide for a colleague or family member.
Privacy before sharing
Screenshots often include more than you intended: notifications, account numbers, names of other people, battery and time. Crop or edit the screenshots in your phone's photo editor before converting. The conversion itself is private: the tool runs in your browser and does not upload your images.
Screenshots in PNG, file size in check
Screenshots are usually PNG, which keeps text sharp. A long set of high-resolution screenshots can make a large PDF; if it is too big to send, see how to send a large PDF by email.
Adding them to another document
Convert the screenshots first, then join the result with other PDFs using Merge PDF.
Summary
Select your screenshots in Image to PDF, set the order, choose "Same as image" and create one clean PDF. Crop out private details first.
